Meet the Editor: The Northeastern Geographer
Abstract:
The Northeastern Geographer has been the primary journal of NESTVAL for over a decade. The journal is expanding its content of article types to engage wider audiences beyond the academy and region. While traditionally the journal has accepted full articles and book reviews, The Northeastern Geographer encourages authors to submit a variety of article types including: (1) research papers, (2) case studies, (3) policy briefs, (4) commentaries, and (5) book reviews. This session will consist of a short overview of the journal, discuss the factors to consider when deciding on content to publish, provide advice to potential authors on how to write papers for successful publication, and highlight common pitfalls to avoid. This session is of relevance to all, particularly graduate students and early career researchers as well as seasoned authors. The session will largely consist of an open Q&A and discussion.
